Yesterday, Me and My Parents had to sign a bunch of papers. Why? Cause my new school has to give us a lot of papers. As I signed one, I was thinking. “Summers Going Fast”.

We Are Learning Some More!
In my older post, We Are Still Learning, I talked about how we couldn’t get into a movie theater and watch something. Well, today, we are watching the same exact thing! We did it! Whoooohoooooooo!! Small victories for the win! (No pun intended)
Duolingo
Recently I have been practicing my french with an application called Duolingo. Even though it is not the same as a classroom, I would argue that you learn even faster from it because you can compete with other people through the game itself. And you can listen to music. And you can stop class whenever you want. Awesome!

I’m An Infant?
Me and my dad just went to Parc Asterix (Credit Here), and when you bye a ticket for a child anywhere in France, it writes as enfant in french. So I just turned eleven, and now I’m an infant? Weird.

My Birthday
Last week had a lot of cool stuff, but there is one thing that in my opinion is the best. I turned eleven on Thursday! So this post is going to summarize my whole birthday.
Morning:
I woke up and smiled to myself. “I am going to be eleven in only twelve more hours!” I thought. Little did I know that it was only ten hours, seeing as I had slept in until ten o’clock in the morning. I got up, switched my pajamas for some real clothes and grabbed some euros.
I walked out of the apartment and onto the street. “Time for some bread.” I said as I stepped into the Gosselin Boulangerie/Patisserie to get breakfast. I got “Trois pain au chocolats et quatre croissants” (Click Here For Help Translating) and returned home. Our friends Laura and Nuno came all the way from Portugal to France so we could all celebrate together. They were sitting, standing, and talking around the room with my parents when I walked in. We all had some food and then we went outside.
Midday:
We got together (not including my dad) and walked to the nearest Fnac after a bunch of window shopping. My mom got me a new video camera! Yay! Now I can make some weird videos!
Nuno also got me a blank notebook with the inscription: “Ma Vie a Paris” on the cover in silver, so now I can draw all sorts of cool stuff in it now.
Evening:
We have dinner at Relais de L’entrecote, and then went to the Tuileries Garden. We went straight to the ferris wheel and it was amazing. My parents were tired after that so Me, Laura, and Nuno, went to Amarino while my mom and dad went home. After we got back in the apartment, I was eleven but very tired. Strangely, I stayed up reading until three – thirty in the morning, which kind of explains my excitement.
We Found Salvation
Today it was pouring in paris, so we didn’t want to go outside to get any food. So we found a business called Allo Resto that delivers tons of different types of food. We may be able to survive here.
We Are Still Learning……..
This morning my dad woke me up and told me that we were going to watch a movie featuring one of our favorite actors, Chris Pratt. During immersion class, I could barely take my mind off it. Then when we got home, we were all waiting for the time to come so we could go to the cinema and watch the movie. When we finally got there, the ticket lady said they didn’t have the movie playing. We thought that was weird, but there were still to more Cinemas on the same block, so we thought we might have went to the wrong one. We walked over to the next cinema, only to find out that they had the same problem. Slightly annoyed, we ran to the third and final cinema in the area. Unfortunately, our hopes were dropped yet again and the movie wasn’t there either. So, even after three weeks of emersion, we cannot get to a simple movie. Well, we are still learning.
Fountain Pens
For school we have to get fountain pens. I just got one, and my mom told me to research them.
-Fountain Pens were the first non-dipping pen
-The first practical fountain pen was made in 1884
-The first fountain pen cartridges used medicine droppers
-They look cool and that kid called kiddoinparis has one
